Faith is a Crutch

Many people's entire lives are based on FAITH. Faith is a belief without proof. Proof is evidence that establishes a fact. The lack of fact is called fiction. Many people's entire lives are based on FICTION. Logic is the science of correct reasoning. Correctness is truth, and reason is a statement given to confirm a belief. Logic is used to confirm the TRUTH.
Well, fancy word tricks are super fun, but they don't prove anything. The truth is that we will never know what comes after death, anyone who says different is a liar, or incredibly ignorant. How can something that has not happened be known? The dead certainly aren't talking about it. Who else could make an assertion about death? Honestly, have you ever talked to a dead person, and heard a reply? Were you dreaming? Can you prove that you weren't? Nobody has proven scientifically if our soul lives on.
The fear of the unkown is what causes people to cling to faith. Embracing that promise of a perfect happy life after death is certainly comforting, but it lacks any kind of real evidence. Move past faith like you moved on from your mother's teat as a child. Grow up and accept the truth. Everything you know about the afterlife is just superstition.
When a black cat crosses your path, you will have bad luck. The same goes for breaking mirrors, and walking under ladders. If you don't follow the bible, you will burn in eternal hellfire. Superstition and faith both involve believing something that is not logically provable.  That is another reason that people have faith (belief without proof), it is a fear of something bad happening to them. Not only after death, but in life as well. "Blessings are given to the righteous, the wicked are humbled by trials". That's the theory anyway. In reality life is random. If you think that you are rewarded for your faith, but occaisionally God tests your faith with trials, you are probably also just afraid to trust yourself instead of god. If you get rid of the faith, you become aware of the fact that good things happen just like bad things, randomly. If you are aware that your hardships are just random events, you don't feel betrayed by someone you "love" (how could god do this to me?). When you accept that your hardships are not a malicious attack on you, just life flowing its course, you are able to overcome using your own strength and determination instead of relying on god to fix your problems (which he created to test you). Terrible things are going to happen to you someday, be ready to deal with it, having faith will not protect you from trials or deliver you from them anymore than your lucky rabbits foot. Do not let your fear of ancient superstitions control your life.
The old testament was translated from hebrew to greek approximately 220 B.C. (Septuagint Version, belived to be the Old Testament in KJV). In A.D. 390, various scriptures scattered among different religions were brought together at the Council of Hippo. Some of this was discarded, the rest eventually became The King James Version of the Bible after many translations and revisions. Our modern religions are based on a book put together over 1600 years ago. A book of magic and miracles, so old it can never be proven or disputed. Some of the stories are a bit newer than Greek Mythology, but there is nothing to make them more believable. Were the stories written as truth, or as a hopeful explaination? 100 years ago the idea of television was considered impossible. 600 years ago the world was flat and the sun orbited around it. 2000 years ago legends were the truth. During that time women were treated like scum. Magicians were aplenty. Animal sacrifices were done by (eventually to be) Christians, instead of hollywood satanists. Public murders were required by law. Also a new absolute truth was established, that influences our lives every day. Although disproving the bible is impossible, looking at the source (women abusing, murderous magicians) and the content (horrendously unbelievable miracles) it just discredits itself. Faith (belief without proof) really is the only way to believe it. Denying the Bible garuantees an eternal punishment in a lake of fire. Do not give in to fear, question everything! The fact that it is "infallible" is more reason to question it. Truth that doesn't require (or allow) any proof will obviously last for centuries.

We have no evidence for our souls existence after we die. We have no evidence of magical forces giving us good luck in exchange for our faith. We have no evidence that any miraculous story from the bible is anything more than fiction. The jury finds faith guilty of being childish superstition, with intent to control the masses.
Any system that does not like to be questioned, is not for your benefit. Your mind is the only thing that you truly own. You must use your mind to define your own morals, and do not let anyone make decisions for you.
When you give up your ability to think, you become a slave. Forced to cater to thier wants and needs, forced to kill for thier wars. The whole time suckling thier teat of delusion and believing that it is worth it. Ignorance becomes the waste of life for the individual.
If you still want to base your life around faith, I am not too worried about it. I will pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster while he rides the Invisible Pink Unicorn for your freedom. I KNOW that he will show you the way.
